Service Offering 

3onedata warrants that the products are free from defects in materials and workmanship arising from normal use. If a product should fail within warranty period, the product can be:

  • Ø Repaired;
  • Ø Replaced with a new unit ;
  • Ø Replaced with a equivalent repaired product fulfilling the same functionality;
  • Ø Full refund according to the purchase price if repair or replacement is impossible;

Service description

  • Ø This warranty is limited to either the repair or replacement of the defective product during its warranty period.
  • Ø If a product is found to be defective within 3 months of the shipping date from 3onedata, and if said product was properly installed and used, this is called Defect on Arrival (DOA) and 3onedata will provide an expedited replacement service. In this case, customers should contact 3onedata technical support for verification first.
  • Ø After 3 months from the shipping date from 3onedata, the customer must obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number prior to returning the defective product to 3onedata for repair service.
  • Ø For products’ firmware configurations and storage devices contained within products, the customer shall back up the settings and data in the products before sending them for repair. 3onedata is not responsible for any loss of settings or data.
  • Ø Repaired or replaced products are warrantied for 90 days from the date of repair or replacement, or for the remainder of the original product’s warranty period, whichever is longer.

Exclusions from Warranty 

A product will not be covered by warranty in any of the following situations:

  • Ø The product is out of warranty period.
  • Ø Defects resulting from ordinary wear and tear.
  • Ø Defects attributed to any accidental damage, improper use, modification, adaptation, purchaser’s or its representatives’ neglect, improper storage or installation, installation in toxic or acid environment or in mobile and/or instable environments not in accordance with the specifications or external electrical fault;
  • Ø Defects resulting from use of the Product or accessories not in accordance with 3onedata published user manual.
  • Ø Defects resulting from any service, maintenance or repair executed by another party than 3onedata, a 3onedata authorised service provider or a 3onedata authorised third party.
  • Ø Defects resulting from natural disaster, including but not limited to lightning, flooding, earthquake, fire, etc.
  • Ø The product has an altered and/or damaged serial number.
  • Ø The warranty for customized and ODM products is defined by contract, and is excluded from this policy.
